Have a look through the net .You'll probably find an owners club somewhere.

www.npoc.co.uk

This is the Primera owners club but I know several of the guys on there have info about the discs.

Nissan live in laa laa land, drives me bonkers.  Be warned if the unit itself goes wrong it is a £2,000 fix, luckily I had a year's warranty on my Primera!

If yours is the diesel X Trail get the turbo checked out.

also forgot to say that you need to check the size of the disc.

If over 4.7gb you will need to copy onto a dual layer dvd, not the normal single layer.

put disc into disc drive and check size of dvd. to do this double click on "my computer" icon on desk top, then right click on dvd drive, probably drive (D) and click on properties. this will then tell how much data is stored on the disc, if over 4.7gb you will need a dual layer disc and a burner capable of burning a dual layer dvd's. this will be marked on the front of your dvd drive (burner), some have a multi disc symbol to represent multi layers, most / all should have DL marked on the front.

If less than 4.7gb normal disc and burner will be ok.

put disc into drive and software may engage, may not. If not click on short cut on desk top, if no short cut, go start programmes and start software that way.

you will have to copy contents from dvd to a file on your hard drive (create a file on your desktop so that its easy to find), then once that is done you will have to create a new disc from the data on your hard drive. most types of software will take you through this process step by step.

The only snag you may find is that the disc is encrypted but you won't know this until you try it. If it is your software will tell you!

Paul
