Depreciation on the S type is high I believe?
Ali
Which is bad if you own one but great if you want a big, fully equiped tow-car.
The one I am looking at has full Jaguar history, Sat-Nav, Dual Zone climate, heated electric memory leather seats, cruise control, reversing sensors, electric everything, air-con, car phone etc etc all for
£3995!
For a 1999 3 litre SE (and it is already fitted with a twin electrics tow pack)
Just the DVD and Sat nav is £3K on E-bay!!
they are giving them away at the mo'
Obviously the economy is poor, but as I'm moving from a 4x4 it is an improvement so everything is relative!

Beautiful car, would rather have one over terrano any day, but then again I think I would rather have a bloody lada than another terrano! LOL
Very luxurious, my uncle had one and it was fantastic! Loved the car although I agree with snowy it did feel cramped for the size of it, but I woul dlive with that! I wish they had done an estate though as I cannot get the dogs in a saloon!
We love our Terrano, and will miss it. But we don't have dogs, it's only been in 4wd twice in a year, the boot is too small on the swb and we just couldn't justify a 4x4 anymore.
As a tow car it is very good, but I had to use it as a everyday car too and it's too compromised for that. For example I went to a meeting 3 hours from home, and with the Terrano the return journey was quite stressfull.
We have bought the Jag, and it will tow just as well as the Terrano. But on those same days were I was facing a long drive in a big, bouncy, truck I can now waft home in a bit of comfort.
It helps that I get a work fuel mileage allowance though, obviously.
