Ive never seen a Ka with a towbar & no manufacturer seemed to list one, post '98 so I googled 'Ford Ka towing' & got this:-

I own a Ford Ka and want to tow my sailing dinghy but am told that I cannot have a towbar fitted as it would be illegal. Surely not?---- All cars sold here from the 1st August 1998 must be European Whole Vehicle Type Approved. The vehicle maker decides when he applies for approval if the car will be allowed to tow and the car has towbar mounting points built in to the chassis. The Ka does not have towbar mounting points so a towbar cannot be fitted. It would be illegal to fit one. There are a number of other cars that cannot have towbars fitted so if you intend to tow with a small car ask before buying.

But if you Ka is pre '98 there are towbars listed so I guess pre '98 you can tow with. to answer your original question a pre '98 Ka electrics should be simple enough, just scotchlok the wiring into the appropriate lighting wires in the boot, it wont have modern 'plug in' electrics.

From the Department of Transport website

Quote: I have a type approved car, but no train weight is shown on the VIN plate, may I still tow with it?
If the manufacturer has not authorised the towing of a trailer by declaration during the type approval process, no train weight will be shown and it is not permitted to fit a coupling device or tow a trailer.

For example the Ford KA has no declared train weight, and no mounting points for a tow bar. There are a number of other vehicles which do not have a declared train weight and are not able to tow a trailer.

Going off the above I would say you cannot legally tow with any Ford Ka and I've never seen one towing anything. Also you may want to speak with your insurers, if you fit a "home made" towbar it may invalidate your cover.
