hi

i currently have jeep 4x4 but due to economic climate need to down size. my only problem is that i have 6 berth bailey bretagne 24 foot long approx weight loaded 1420.

i am looking at vauxhall vectra 1.9tdc 120bhp. but am unsure will tow properly.

i looked on towcar website and it said it was adequate at 86% but i am confused about what this means

As you have a 6 berth bailey i assume you have 3/4 children the vectra is going to have its work cut out towing that size of van when i had my previous van a series 4 pageant moselle (2004) i towed with a new shape vectra diesel 2003 model and it was a lighter van than the series 5 /6 pageants and it was a 86% match when i upgraded to a series 6 (2007) i had to change to a heavier towcar

While your vectra may have the horsepower to pull your van it is going to be rather light
