Hi i had the 2.0 auto picasso and that squeaked from the brakes, i tried coppa slip on back of pads , all to no avail , according to my citreon dealer there is no cure for it
My Xsara (not Picasso) is a 52 plate auto. When doing manoeuvres - slow parking etc, esp. on a hot day, the brakes sqeal, but in normal driving they are ok. It was all checked last week when it was MOT'd and they said it is fine.

If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, just keep going till you go round the bend.
Hi Steve as said in John's post I used coppa slip on the backs of my pads also put some on the pistons put a good film on and make sure that the pistons are right in so you do not scape any off when refitting the brake caliper.
hope this helps peter

I have a 53 plate HDI, and mine used to squeal until I had to change the pads and discs. The pads and discs only last about 35-40000 miles on the original set, and usually when you change the pads you change the discs. I changed the original Citroen ones for a set of Brembo Discs and Ferodo premier pads and since then no squealing and improved braking (as advised on a citroen forum) www.citroenpicasso.org.uk , they were cheaper too
