Bailey certainly 're-plate' their 'vans. (Senators at least). A regular contributor to another forum uprated the MTPLM on his Senator's plate from around 1730Kgs to Baileys upper limit of 1800Kgs. (Not that you get the choice, they just uprate it from the production line figure to their official higher figure). It cost around £50.
He had a Reich 4 wheel motor mover fitted that weighed about 60Kgs, thus almost totally wiping out any increase in the plated weight, but did allow him to maintain his other payload limits without compromising his comforts. the intended fixture of the motor mover was the main reason why he had the plate details uprated.
Needless to say, he has to keep the tyres at a much higher psi than before.
In your case, you stand to gain an additional 150Kgs or so; not an inconsiderable amount. The main question perhaps should be: can your car cope with an additional 150Kgs behind it and what affect will this have on your towcar/trailer %age ratio?
