Why on earth would you buy a unit before checking you could safely tow it !!!

Please please ensure your unit it safe before you go any  where.

From what I can find, the Osprey seems to have a max gross weight (MTPLM) of around 1500 Kgs. This is way over the max towing weight given by Vauxhall for a 1.8 Zafira. See here.

I would not recommend it!

If you look in your car's handbook it will tell you max towing weight & max towbar imposed load(noseweight)if you exceed these your car's insurance will be void & you will get no payout in the event of a crash so you need to be careful.

 Larry who ever gave you that advice is talking through a hole in there proverbial your car can only tow legally 1300kgs and that osprey weighs nearly that empty so change your car mate if you want to be safe afterall you dont want to put your family at risk or be prosecuted
