I tried to follow the instructions to get the live feed connected via the back of the glovebox but failed.
However I found & used an alternative route through from the rear offside (where the dedicated loom was) to the battery......
remove the internal cill trim along the right of car including the trim surrounding the boot/fuel cap release levers. Remove the front offside mudflap, and release the front offside wheel arch cover. In the wheelarch you should now see a small grommit which to bring the cable through. Remove the grommit and you can feed a pull-cable from the inside of the driver footwell (where there is conveniently a hole in the cill.
So the live feed can run from the battery, across the rear of the engine compartment, behind the wheel arch cover, through the grommit, out the drivers footwell and along the internal cill trim to the rear.
I hope this is clear and helps save anyone some time !
As mentioned I used a dedicated wiring loom from towequipe - and would recommend this approach as plugging the connections into the existing light circuits was a breeze !
