Looking to change our towcar and this time we want an MPV.  Three girls ages 13, 10 and 7 getting bigger and trying to avoid WW3 when travelling. Wequite like the Sedona for price etc (looking at a new one) but are a bit wary re the stated mpg which shows as approx 27 urban and I think 33 combined.  Does anyone have any experience of this?   No problem with towing the van with it. Just that mileage.

we have a petrol sedona but it is older than the one you are looking at 52reg 19 or 20 mpg urban  on a run 32  average 28

but of course diesels do more

truh be told we would buy another as it is a great car and with 4 kidswe need the space

We had the diesel Sedona, 03 reg. We have 3 bigger kids and 2 dogs and the Sedona has loads of room inside. The kids loved it. It also towed really well, very impressive.
But on my daily commute to work (4 miles each way) it was very thirsty.

We got 08 plate sedona,used to towing with an x-trail,not much difference in mpg.the official combined mpg for the sedona is 36.I don't think you will find a petrol sedona most are diesel.watch what you are paying for your sedona as prices have come right down.you are better of getting a 6 month old one if you can.look hard and you may get a ts for around £14-15k.

Thanks for your replies.  Probably put the looking off for a while now as Sunday evening got caught in a blizzard here and coming down the very steep hill by our house used a lamp post to stop.  Front of Vectra dented but myself & daughter okay - car being picked up tomorrow for repair.  Still on the bright side at least the front will look nice and new when we come to replace it.
