Hi Lobey, I think you have towed along just about every road in Scotland, so I wonder if you could tell me if the A82/A83/A819/A85 would be ok (from Luss to north of Oban), or should we use the A82/A85?

Are you going from Millarochy to Oban ?

its approx 82 mls via Luss or 91mls via Aberfoyle IMHO Aberfoyle is the nicer road to tow on

Take the A811 towards Stirling then at the staggered junction head for Aberfoyle and the A85.  This is my  personal opinion

Hi both, going from Luss C&CC to Highfield which is near Benderloch, north of Oban, so we are on the west side of Loch Lomond (pretty obviously!), we have towed south down the A82 before and don't remember any particular problems.

There isn't any probs on either route. and it makes more sense to use the A82 if your on the west side of the Loch

Thanks Cath. Never did book Millarochy though, was thinking of Lomond Woods but Luss is a lot cheaper for us, in June with age concession.
