How do i find out what the max nose weight for my car (Picasso diesil)is, it says in the manual that i can tow 1300 KG ,is that the weight.
Reason i ask is that i was browsing ebay and noticed them for sale so i thought i would ask rather then never know .

Def not 1300kg - more likely to be in the range 60-80kg. Ask a dealer? or try here -

1300kg is the max weight the car can tow, so a small caravan with a loaded weight of 1300kg is the max, however look at the kerbweight of the car, if your unexperienced don't buy a van whos weight is above 85% of the cars kerbweight.

The nose weight is the downward force that the towball will take and is generally determined by how the van is loaded.

My wife says that our scales are ALWAYS wrong they are anything from a couple of pounds out right up to "These bl**by useless things" .which i gather is quite a lot .
