Bill

We have a 7 seater and only carry two adults up front and a 7 year old in the back so the axle will be fine with a full awning, table and a couple of chairs in the back.  I am quite anal about loading and safety so that's why before I had the dog guard, I would not load above the parcel shelf.

Our old caravan had a side dinette (and an MPTLM upgrade) so it was easy to load heavy stuff across the axle, but in our new one, one wheel is under the cooker and the other one in the washroom so I can't securely lay stuff over the axle anly more.

Thanks for your concern

Alan

Yes, I know how you feel.  We have one wheel under the kitchen sink and the other under a wardrobe facing it.  Fortunately, our Nissan Patrol can take a load of three quarters of a ton.  The car and van sit level with all our holiday gear in the car.

Mind you, maybe if I had a much lighter towcar, it'd look like this ......

Cheers
Andrew
