   yes simon23 mine is a tidy clean van , i find it very adaptable to carry all heavy loads .also my wifes wheelchair .but it is more economical to have a one vehicle

Citroen quote a max tow weight of 1100kg for the Berlingo Multispace car, dunno if this applies to the van, the weights will be in the handbook tho.

I used to tow a 750kg Eriba with a 1.9 diesel Berlingo car, this engine has only 70bhp & no turbo so it slows right down on hills.

A friend of mine has to tow on a van as they show dogs & also have a tradestand at these shows.  I can understand why sites have a no van rule, as sometimes it can cause issues, but if an owner can give a reasonable explanation why they tow on a van, then they should be allowed on sites, as opposed to the overt ban on some sites.

Don't they have camping facilities at these venues?  What if a fair number of these turned up on site to use it for show/trade purposes?  Camping sites are a leisure facility; not a convenience for business purposes. Perhaps this answers the question as to why commercial-type vans are not allowed.
