Hi folks,
Anyone owned a range rover with td6 diesel engine (BMW, I think?) Thinking of maybe buying one about 2003 reg and any feedback/opinions most welcome,good or bad! Thanks

My boss has one it's horrible, slow and sluggish, had it chipped still slow and sluggish, I used to have a Disco TD5 and it would leave it for dead solo or towing. Make sure if you buy that every thing works as it should they can be a bit of a money pit. Yes you are correct the BMW engine which I think also went in the Vauxhall Senator I am sure someone will correct me if  am wrong, the thing is the Range Rover is very heavy compared to the Senator.

The newer TDV8 is much better apparantly good power and reasonable economy, I would love one but awful lot of cash required!

They are pretty reliable but there was a problem with front diffs, they should have had a recall info here.Its a good forum, I still use it although I don't have a LR at the moment! ( Have owned 2 old ones!)
