Not technical I am afraid.
We have just bought brand new car and had towbar fitted by the dealer.
In our old vehicle when you had the caravan attached the indicators made loud different sound.
This one doesn't, although the indicators are working.
Should it make different sound?
Whether this has anything to do with it, or nothing to do with it, we also had parking sensors fitted and they don't seem to be working correctly. When we reverse down the alley next to our garage after a while the bleeper sounds continuously which should only happen if we are about to touch the wall at the rear.
We will of course hopefully get all this sorted out with the guarantee but just wondered what anyone thought.
The parking sensors can also monitor the corners so if the alley is narrow, the sideways looking part of the sensors will detect the wall(s) along side you too.
Re the beeper, it is the same on our new car, there is no legal requirement for the indicators to bleep as long as they fast flash if a bulb fails. I tested this with my car by removing the bulb from my cycle board and connecting the board. When I tried using the indicator with the bulb removed, the warning light on the dashboard flashes much faster than normal to warn of a bulb failure.
