Hi all

After a long and bitter search i have finally found a caravan and wonder if someone more experienced than I could help me

The caravan is an Elddis Avante 630 2002 and I thought when i went to view that it was fitted with an Alko stabiliser/hitch lock - turns out this is not the case

Having arranged to collect and pay for the caravan tomorrow and taking a day of work in the process I wonder if the hitch will fit my Alko towball.......I have asked the seller but have not got a response and wondered if any one can help or point me in the right direction.....being a complete caravan newbie I have no idea what i should be looking for to confirm compatability

Any help greatly greatly appreciated!!

The ALKO tow ball is the same as a satandard tow ball just taller and the gap between the ball and bumper is bigger, so yes you will have no problem at all.

Fitted mine in around 15 minutes and when i picked it up in January, just remember when you remove the original hitch hold the brake damper back (i used a screwdriver) till the new hitch is ready to go on then as you push the bolt through let the screwdrver fall/slide out.       Very easy to fit a hitch lock also.
