This item is being sold on ebay, and is using the same photo as an item I am bidding on. the seller says they bought it on ebay last week but there feedback shows no purchases since April. Caution Advised.

He may have just pinched the photo and may not have received feedback yet, but... he only has 2 feedback and one of them is bad so I would suggest pick up only to ensure what you get is what you paid for!! so yes...caution advised!

Report him to ebay and they will remove the listing. A guy pinched my pics when I was selling Hubby's old lappy, it took three times of reporting him and it being removed before he got the message!

A lot of people use stock photos from manufacturers websites, BUT unless he has a seperate ID he hasn't bought anything in the last 30 days, Feedback isn't how you tell if someone had bought anything as some dont use the feedback system. You use this search

Stock photo on now,maybe they don't own a camera.

After one very bad experience involving a boxed set of dvds I would never buy anything off ebay that only shows a stock photo - it's too easy for someone to list an item which doesn't actually exist. Given the feedback history - or lack of - I would definitely give this one a miss.

What constantly amazes me with ebay, is how many items there are that close at prices above retail. I kept an eye on several Al-ko 3004 triple packs, some alleged new and some 2nd hand. The new ones were silly prices, but even several 2nd hand ones finished above £200; I bought a brand new triple pack from Waudbys which were on promotion at the time, £199 delivered.

Don't assume ebay is the 'bargain' source many users consider it being.

I found the adtrader was a good source for caravan bits, I bought the lock for my Alko 3004 from there, they seemed to be going for only £5 less than new on ebay for some reason, plus when I rang the seller in adtrader they lived opposite my house!, whats the chances of that!!.
