hello,i got one of them nose weight gauge things,does anyone know what the correct or maximum weight should be on the tow ball,thanks im new to towing

Depends on your car, it can be anything from 50kg to over 100kg on a 4x4. Look in you car's handbook in weights. It will be mentioned as 'towbar download' or similar. What car do you have?

Spring assistors mean nowt as far as the law is concerned, the weight as stated in car's handbook is the max you can go to.
