Hi all,

We have just bought my wife another car. It has an 'alko' stabiliser type ball fitted.

Our van has a standard hitch on it, as does MY car.

Is it okay to use the alko ball with a standard hitch?

Yes - all it does is provide a bit of extra clearance between car bumper and hitch head.

The Alko ball has a slightly longer neck on it. It's minimal really but makes a big difference with an alko hitch.

Can't see a problem at all
