Hi, I am after some much needed advice.  We have a Bailey Pageant Champagne Max loading of 1340kg.  We are after a tow car, that is is within our £2000 budget, that is also reasonable on tax.  Any advice gratefully recieved.

Diesel Mondeo will do the job, get 52-03 plate in your price range, loads in Autotrader or go to an auction.

posted earlier iv'e had 2 mondeo tdci 130  best tow car iv'e had and many will agree, make sure got good service history though.

Volkswagon passat is very good - especially the tdi 130

Ideally for an 85% match you need something with a kerbweight of 1576kg.

TDCi Mondeo will pull that with no problems.
Finding a good one under £2k might be hard though. Petrol might be a better option, less to go wrong.
You'll hear some horror stories on here about Mondeo TDCi's, but they are blown out of proportion somewhat.
Cracking tow-car.
