we went with caravanguard as they undercut the CC quote by over £120 new for old cover.just have to use hitchlock and alko secure when van left. but you do that anyway ?
first time we`ve jumped ship from CC but caravanguard seem to have plenty of satisfied customers
We hav just renewed with CC, as we didn't really know where else to look. Worried about exclusions on the cheaper policies that you tend to find out about if you want to make a claim. Maybe be a bit more prepared for next years renewal. Like the idea that with CC one we can leave elsewherem without notifying them, provided it is looked with wheel and hitchlock (which it most definately is) as we sometimes leave it at a family farm to get it off the drive to stop the neighbours complaining.

? Mr PP has just gone and bought another business, holiday?...we should be so lucky!
We're with Caravanguard. Just don't accept there first quote, in other words try and get it cheaper. They do try to get the premium down for you if they can.
Worth mentioning if your in CC as we are, they give you discount for that, not sure on the other club though.
Yes agree! We went with Caravan Guard and they are brilliant!! They agave us a quote and then knocked it down quite abit when we spoke to them on the phone.
I have used Sureteam, very competitive and minimal small print and a higher amount covered as standard, but as usual only know if they are any good if you claim - fingers crossed I won't need to find out!
I've just tried Caravan Guard and they have quoted new for old at a premium of £325 - i think that's extortion.
I know I have a new van, but it's fitted with an Alko hitch lock and wheel lock and had an alarm, they offered me the club discount but it never really made a difference. I've moved from being a MH user back to Caravan this year and was insuring my £30K MH for under £220 a year. I thought the caravan would be cheaper – obviously not
Any wonderful tips to reduce this bill further

Nowt as baffling as insurance, especially for caravans. I can insure two cars for around £360. My house and contents were a lot less than insuring my nearly three year old Abbey. That was £322 just renewed it with Caravanguard.
We have insured for years with the camping & caravanning club and are very satisfied with them. We have only had one claim ever and they settled promptly.
