I have no personal knowledge of this particular stabiliser, but assuming you have the correct tow bar mounting & the release handle as shown in the ad I can see no difference to the bulldog or snakemaster types ,you fit the release handle to its location on the clutch assembly boss(it should be in the vertical position when the tension is off) then fit the stabiliser tongue in to the socket on the tow bar mount & the end of the blade into the slipper on the caravan A frame you then push the lever down to horizontal to put tension on the clutch
one way to test the clutch is at correct tension is to fit the stabiliser to the tow brackett use the lever to engage the clutch & using bathroom scales to push the end of the blade(about where it woud fit into the slipper on the van)sideways you should need 60 Lb pressure to move the blade
