i have just bought a abi award globestar it says the MAW is 1250 what would the weight be unladen as i am running at 88% if it is fully laden
The difference between your ideal of 85% and the actual of 88% is so tiny as to be not worth worrying about. Try it and see before you even consider doing anything else.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

Suprising the bits that accumulate & do not notice or think about.
We bought a set of trays, plates & dishes from asda a few years back all on special offer.
8 of everything, Bit too much when there is only 3 of us. Had a mad rummage & took quite a lot of stuff out.
