Hi all I've been looking at towing mirrors for my 52 freelander but am a bit overwelmed today, some don't seem to fit the large mirrors my car has, can anyone here who has or had a freelander tell me which are the best mirrors to buy.
Sorry if I may sound a bit stupid lol but I need some help :)
Hi - i have the cheap Summit ones that go on with the adjustable rubber straps. I got them at our local caravan dealers. They aren't brilliant but they do the job. I actually find the freelanders mirrors are good on their own without the extension ones - whether thats legal or not I can never determine. This is currently being disscussed on the caravan section in the topic about "E" marked mirrors. The Summit ones are by the way.
------------- The things that come to those who wait, may be the only things left by those who got there first.
Thankyou :) I've never used mirrors on it before as the visability is good and I can see around the van but someone said I need them it's the law hense the search for mirrors lol
thanks again

Hi murano On my second freelander so feel i could offer a little help, had all sorts of mirrors over the last four yrs i have owned freelanders, four sets.Had the suckit & see ones but they blocked my view in car mirror so i have just purchased milenco areo mirrors (expensive lol) but they will clip in between glass & mirror arm as they have wedge type fixing brackets yet to try but i am very confidant, also e marked
When I remember to take them I use the ones with the rubber pull through straps on my Freelander, but also find I can see past our Adria perfectly well without them, plus I can see a bit actually through the van with the rear view mirror.
Thanks for all your help I'm bidding on the milenco ones ATM as they seem to be what I'm looking for
however as Llanidavis says I have really good all round view of my van as she isn't that big so I can't see why I really need them but going to get some anyway
thanks all again
We use "suck it and see" mirrors they are a tad expensive but worth it!! We have a warrior and the mirrors are to big for strap ones and i don't want to mark the mirrrors.
These are brilliant and come in a bag one for each mirror
Hi Muarno I also use the milenco aero good fit, will fold back on the electric door mirrors ,dont shake at 70 mph .great bit of kit .freelannder td4 06 plate .Mick
Thanks all for the advice I'm now the owner of some milenco aero mirrors, not had chance to use them yet but they fit well so all good.
Thanks all again :)
