There's a few people on the Galaxy forum who reckon its a fab tow-car. We're swapping our Verso for one soon. Cant wait.
In the hundreds of posts in several forums I've read, I've NEVER found anyone who admits that their current car is NOT a good tow car (they sometimes say their old car was bad) - and on a specific car forum, there is NO WAY they would ever say that (why bother joining a forum just to say how bad your car is?).
Basically, any car is a good tower as long as it can handle the weights involved. Considering how much time you spend towing and how much normal driving, you're always better off, IMO, choosing your tow-car by normal criteria (reliability, economy, servicing costs etc), ensuring, of course, that it can pull your weight of van.
To be honest, I think you'll find the reliability and build quality of the Verso will be much better than the Galaxy but I vaguely recall that the Verso is much lighter so cannot pull as big a van, which would be a good reason for changing anyway...
