hi all i have an xantia x reg 1.8 16v ,and have an old 12.50 astral scout caravan ,problem is due too xantia suspension caravan nose is too high an not level ,is my only option to get a drop plate ,any help would be great .
Do be aware that drop plates are only legal on very few cars, mostly 4 x 4s. They have to have Type Approval, and only manufacturers whose products have a high ride height have done this.
You could end up with a prosecution and insurance problems. I'm not saying this is the case, but it probably is. You need to check with the car manufacturer before you do it.
Citroens are usually adjustable for ride height anyway, so if it's too high, something is probably wrong.
yes i see what ur saying ,ride hieght is in normal ride mode ,the other heights r only for limited use ,tyre change etc the next lower level to normal is v low and only for garage use .
Xantias do not have adjustable suspension settings for driving. its self levelling but not adjustable as in you being in control of it. by using the slider you can drop the front or back of the car or lift it. But if you drive it too low the ride is horrendous and the manual states it can damage the suspension if my memory is correct
i always hooked van on with engine running,no problem, and used a drop plate , again no problem
