Can anyone help me with a problem to do with my towing electrics.
I have just returned to caravanning after many years and recently got a tow bar and a new 14pin electric socket fixed to my Ford S-Max by a local mobile towbar fitter. The socket swings up under the bumper when not in use.
The trouble is I keep getting water inside the socket whenever it rains. The fitter returned and replaced the socket because the insides had corroded with the water and told me he had re-sealed everything - but still water gets in. I presume now that the cap design is not watertight. Is this right? Has anyone else had a similar problem please.
