Hi All,

We have a 2008 model Adria Altea 542UK & we have towed it for the last year in Yorkshire without a stabiliser fitted as we wanted to get a feel for the van/car together.

Later this year we are going to Edinburgh for the Tattoo & as we haven't towed as far with the van, we thought it might be a good idea to get a stabiliser.

Has anyone fitted a stabilser to their Adria, or recommendations on good stabilser would be appreciated.  Wauby's sell a Bulldog stabiliser which looks interesting but I haven't done any research yet.

our 542uk came with an Alko 1300 stabiliser so nothing to compare to!   Always towed fine with it, although we don't load up to the max.

Oh...you risk a right can of worms here. Our old van' was a lot lighter/smaller than our current. Was totally happy with the blade type stabiliser. Very little movement. New van' has an Aalko 1300, again very stable but not as stable as the old one. That said, I've towed both vans' without ther respective stabilisers & the only difference was the reduction in up/down movement with the older blade type.

Tempted to try the Blade on the new van' but worried about the warranty on the chassis in drilling for the mount.
