AFAIK, the discs & pads for my Saab are the same for the 150bhp as the lower power one; I've yet to see if the parts for the TTiD (185bhp twin turbo) are any different. If they are, then I will not be re-mapping as I cannot justify the extra cost of the upgrade for the brakes.
The rest of the thread made interesting reading; everyone who contributed had valid points - chill, guys - life's too short!!

Could you tell me where you got that C5 please? I would love to get one too. I purchased a 15 year old 4x4 for £500. If I can get a Citroen C5 for less than that I'd be happy as a pig in sh1t!
Those are the "real world" prices. Apparently I don't live there, so I can't help with that.
Now that things have quietened down a bit, the point I was trying to make is that you can get an excellent four wheel drive for very little money now. Depreciation is terrible, (much to my cost) and if you're prepared to go for something a bit older, you can get a great car.
