56 plate is the Mk 2 version with the wheel on the back. Its the upgraded floorpan model with the 100kg noseweight limit (up from a weedy 60kg)
It has a 1500kg tow limit. It tows at 30mpg (diesel)
We've had a variety of CRVs and we've never had a problem towing with any of 'em. We pull a big Fleetwood with ours, (1500kg) steady as a rock even in adverse weather conditions.
You'll be fine with your Europa, the newest ones max weight being 1490kg.

Topic: Honda CRV diesel
We have a Honda CRV 56 plate diesel and looking to buy a new Sterling Europe 565. Checked the tow limits and think we may be ok. Any readers currently pulling anything similar? 
Towed an old Sprite Muskateer for last 4yrs but now sold, big difference pulling that with CRV than the Picasso we had. Just about to change the 12n socket over to a 13 pin one but screws seized :p
