We currently have a Citroen Berlingo 1.9 diesel and pull a Lunar Ultralite. The Berlingo pulls it ok but is very sluggish. We are looking at buying a new (used) tow car and seem to be going round in circles. I would prefer a car where the rear windows go down (the Berlingo just pop out). I fancy a Vauxhall Zafira and we have seen a 1.9 CDTi life. Does anyone else have this model, and what is it like as a tow car?
The alternative is to go for the Berlingo 2.0 HDi but this only has a BHP of 90, whereas the Zafira has 120.
We need a a large boot so would probably not use the rear seats of the Zafira. We already know the Berlingo boot is huge.
We would like to buy something before our trip to Holland in August.
