Hi Everyone,
I hope some of you maybe able to offer advice regarding towing a Celtic Rambler 5th Wheel. We are hoping to purchase one of these lovely 5th wheel units in the near future and already own a nissan navara with which to tow it. However our previous 5th wheel used the electronic braking system, so our navara is not set up with air brakes. We have contacted 5th wheel company who will sell you the system with a new car for £1,750 including the slide hitch, however want nearer £3,000 if it is a retro fit just for the braking system! This obviously isn't economically viable, so does anyone have any ideas as to how we can overcome this problem please? We are thinking possibly the compressor could be stored on the celtic rather than the car, but not sure this is practical. Also we would like to keep the hitch we already have for the car (reece 16k) as it can be removed easily, but in order to do so, we will need a side winder on the celtic - anyone know a supplier of this or something similar in this country? All advice, good or bad, would be much appricated
