We have a Citroen Xantia 2000 model diesel automatic as above, and the manufacturers handbook says that the towing limit is 900KG, although all other models in this range have a towing limit of 1200KG.
This is considerably less than 85% of the unladen weight of the vehicle which is 1336KG. In fact the manufacturers handbook says that the towing limit in France for this model is 1200KG!
Does anyone know why the towing limit is so small in this vehicle?
And can anyone suggest a suitable caravan - there are only 2 of us, but I have limited mobility - which would match our car. We are looking for something secondhand, probably about 12-15 years old, costing about £2000 max.
