We will be towing a fully laden 5 x 3 trailer with our 2003 Audi A6 2.5tdi multitronic Avant in a weeks time.
Shouldn't have a problem, will report back when we return from hols. It goes extremely well now anyway since we had the throttle body changed, plenty of oomph....
Just checked, we have the 160bhp version so should have plenty of power to tow.
Just a word of caution. Always make sure the multitronic gearbox fluid is replaced every 40,000 miles as on the Audi forums there are lots of horror stories of these going wrong. Prices flying around of £3 - 4,000 to get a gearbox replaced. Audi replaced our fluid recently and it was £139.00 (normally £160 odd but they did a special for us). It is really only Audi who can do this as it needs pumping out and in and set temps etc.
