I'd take your time and read one of the Land Rover forums.

If you enjoy messing about with vehicles it's an ideal choice - but they are generally an enthusiast's project rather than a buy it and drive it vehicle.

I tow a twin axel with a 2006 Discovery HE and wouldn't now tow with anything else.

The only problem I had with earlier Discoverys was leaking sun rooves. That's why I went for the HE with no sun roof rather than the HSE.

One of the good things about them is that you can raise the suspension before you hitch up when you are on uneven ground and there is no chance of the jockey wheel getting stuck under the A Frame.

Hope you have a big bank balance for future repairs/servicing etc.

If you're gonna buy a LR make sure you get rid of it before the warranty runs out.

We loved our LR but would never buy another.

Read Which mag customer satisfaction survey. ( local library if you don't subscribe?) - you may change your mind.

Just returned from New Forest CC site and Disco 3 and 4's even outnumbered the Sorento, got overtaken on the way home by a couple of Discos and a few range Rovers-all still going!!

Home now Neil, but lots of Discos on the site-it always amuses me that whenever Landrover is mentioned there are always tales of woe.

I've had my P38 4.6 for over 4 years and have only replaced the tyres and (original) exhaust. It's NEVER let me down.
