Are you sure the car is not overloaded? Spring assistors should not normally be needed.

I have a picasso and suffer from the same problem and my car is empty, seems to sit low at the rear.
Caravan is well within its limit.

We used MAD springs on two Ford Mondeos some years ago when we had a tin tent. We found they did make a difference and would use them again - don't need them with our current outfit.

We used to own a Picasso and fitted greyson engineering supplemental springs. the ride was much better and the back end was at the right height once the van was attached.

Mad - yes, very good - when my S-I-L's hubby sold his early Mondy, he gave me his MAD assisters & I fitted them to our (then) Cavalier. Did what they said on the tin. Years before, on our old Renault 20TS deffo needed some assistance even with the light old Musketeer. So got hold of a compressor from a warranty claim in the Volvo garage I was at (the claim was for the faulty air-adjustable shocks in a kit) - I also got all the piping and control thingy with the electric button to raise & button to lower. Connected it all up to a pair of Auto-Ballans - brilliant, plonk the 'van on, pump up until level, stable towing. The Bee-em we had didn't need anything; the Focus I had didn't tow a caravan but I did use it to pick up a Rover V8 engine & two auto boxes from Preston; I had the Grayston assisters and they were brill. The same ones were removed & fitted to the Rover 45 and kept that nice & level with the Whirlwind on.
The Saab doesn't seem to need any, though the Graystons are the same spec for it!
So some cars do, some cars don't...
