Caravan noseweight should be around 7% of actual weight but not that critical. 60kg might be a bit light for weight you mention but it would depend on the actual weight of your caravan & whether you could get the noseweight down near to 60kg. Most cars of this size are 70-80kg which would be better.

hi i have a 307 sw alittle lighter than the 407 sw my kerb weight is 1496kg my caravan falls around 83-84% but max noseweight of only 60kg same as the 407 and we load it to get the right nose weight for the car it tows ok but at 56mph or above it sometimes snakes on motorway or dual carrage on single carrageway its fine then we cam back last time and put the noseweight up to 7% of actual weight of caravan, i no it was too heavy for the the cars noseweight but towed really well i have put the snake down to not enough nose weight so with that we a changing the car for a nissan terrano which has a noseweight of over 120kg so if it was me wouldnt get a caravan 85% of ur cars kerbweight go lighter so u can have the correct noseweight of 7% of actual weight of van to coencide with the max noseweight of car which is 60kg which i am afraid is just over 850kg.

I have one.... a 1.6HDi, my van is 1250 kg max laden, it tows the van really well, the nose weight wasn't an issue, jsut went for the 60kg max

It was really stable and returned 36 mpg and couldnt praise it more. I have only towed it approx 250 miles so far but have no worries about it whatsoever!

I think the reality of nosewehights is different from the academic....  if you hit a bump the nose weight will move all over the place both increasing and decreasing it, as long as you are not miles off I am sure it will be ok ( please note I am no expert and this is purely my opinion!)
