hi  all getting tow bar fitted on friday , but just wondering will the tow bar interfer will my rear parking sensors, i am getting a swan neck tow bar fitted on hyundia ix35. thanks

got tem fitted on our 06 santa fe does not affect it all ,does when van is on the back but i do put up with that

If the vehicle uses a canbus wiring system, which I think it does, you need to have it reprogrammed by the dealer anyway, and that should stop them working when the electrics are connected.
The reprogramme should also give you the additional warning light for the trailer flashers.

seat exeo  and no problems here  except when reversing with the van hitched up of course       silly machine thinks you are going to hit the van

we have an over-ride switch on the passat that knocks them off when vans on,handy bit of kit

Ive got a BMW 3 series, and had the dedicted wiring kit installed, so that when I'm towing the car recognises it and disables the parking sensors.

I had reversing sensors fitted to my Sorento, best money I have ever spent.  I ahd a switch fitted, so when hitched up to the 'van, I can simply disable the sensors

hi all had my tow bar fitted today and the rear sensors do not go off when reversing with the tow bar on,

I have a reversing sensor that tells you what to do and shouts at the last second  just before disaster. It's called the OH.

Sounds like you didn't have the dedicated wiring kit installed.  It cost me an extra £120 on the beemer
