We had 4 XTs over a 10 year period and the first one a 51 plate was VERY smokey

The dealer put off doing anything so much that we ended up when on holiday at Interdiesel,a Nissan agent in Figueras ,Spain

We arrived and they spoke no English but a revving of the engine rendered language unnecessary as the service manager disappeared in a cloud of smoke

The caravan on arrival in Spain was blackened at the front

They replaced the injectors and worked on "system anti pollution"

It was much improved but never as good as later models

Nissan for some reason don't change the air filter until 36000 miles which I consider a big mistake

   Get it checked out I had mine blow August 2009 £1350.00 to sort out, turbo &

intercooler had to be replaced, there was no warning just loss of power & a little smoke? mines the 2005 SVE 41800 mls 

Be nice if folk reply,They are asking for ideas or advise, why dont posters come back to say at least thank u.

Hi we have checked all hoses etc all ok, turbo seems to be working you can feel it kick in when you put your foot down,car has done 64,000 is about due a service so we will do that first, thanks for all the suggestions keep them coming
