I have had to replace the nearside tyre on my Eriba Familia after around 10000 miles because of wear on the outer top of the nearside (left) tyre.
Bearings seem OK and have not had any accidents, but a few potholes although nothing major.
Any thoughts?

That sort of wear is caused by positive camber, ie the top of the tyre is leaning outwards. I dont think any adjustment is possible so it looks like the stub axle is bent. Best get it checked out before your next trip out.

get a full aliglenment check done, or swap your tyres about so you dont just wear the one out completly.

This looks serious, I have never managed to wear a caravan tyre out. Something is wrong with the towing geometry. Does the caravan tow in a straight line?

you need this checking out.

Get your track rod ends and suspension checked, then get the tracking done.

With all these dam pot holes its easy to knock your alignment off

Ah. I'd recommend getting the caravan axle checked out for alignment / straightness........

I do agree that you should get more mileage out of a tyre, but if my caravan tyre lasted for 10000miles (thats a lot of towing, as most people replace there tyres because of age) I would just buy another tyre. Now i know that, that doesn't fix anything but at the least you know your tyre would be safe.

Gets you thinking though, as I said most people replace tyres because of age and never because of low tread. If anyone did cover a lot of ground with thier caravan, I wonder how many more would be showing more wear on the one side, say the side that has the kitchen over it, as this carrys the most weight on one side.
