I do agree that you should get more mileage out of a tyre, but if my caravan tyre lasted for 10000miles (thats a lot of towing, as most people replace there tyres because of age) I would just buy another tyre. Now i know that, that doesn't fix anything but at the least you know your tyre would be safe.
Gets you thinking though, as I said most people replace tyres because of age and never because of low tread. If anyone did cover a lot of ground with thier caravan, I wonder how many more would be showing more wear on the one side, say the side that has the kitchen over it, as this carrys the most weight on one side.
