 morning all bit of advice required here,

 we have just changed our car to a vectra c series 1.9cdti exclusive estate 2007,and we need to have a towbar fiited soon.

 had a look round at diff. makes etc. but not sure which one to get fitted. now we don't want a detachable and need twin electrics but am bit concerned as regards distance from rear bumper that it will have to be was thinking of an ext6ended towball to allow for the elctrics plate and the stabiliser bracket and also the protection plate to be fitted and the bracket as we had with our vectra b.

 it has to have a dedicated wiring loom fitted becaues of all the sensors etc on the car.

 all sugestions welcomed but not going to get it fitted jsut yet due to the fact that the docs won't allow me to tow for the time being still under the hospital!!!

ciao... just changing my car, and having new towbar fitted... I recently read somewhere that there is a problem if the tow ball is painted... what problem would a black painted tow bar cause? and what would I need to do to remove the black paint? many thanks

paint stripper or sandpaper/wirewool, Only remove the paint not the metal.

If you dont clean the paint off and have an ALKO hitch it will contaminate the friction pads.
