Hi all, I know this info is on here somewhere but I'll be jiggered if I can find it. Post1997 licence holder here. As long as the gross vehicle weight and the MTPLM of my van are under 3500 I can tow it. The gross train weight that is allowed by the car doesnt affect me unless I go over it. Is that right? for example looking at .....
Mondeo estate - kerbweight 1569kgs
Gross Vehicle weight - 2195kgs
Tow Limit - 1800kgs
Gross Train Weight - 3750kgs
My little musketeer weighs in at 1300kgs so therefore gross weight of caravan and gross weight of mondeo = 3495kgs.
My understanding is that this is easily within the cars Gross Train weight and just within the weight limit of my licence, correct?
I hope this is right or my brain might easily melt!!
