So by saying I'm sticking to whatever speed means the indicted speed on your speedo and probably not the real speed. When we stopped he said he thought I was doing over 70 according to his speedo! if your speedo says you are doing 70 you will be doing at most 70mph, likely less. a speedo can leaglly tell you a speed faster than you are doing but not lower. . many moons ago you could change the gearing output on gearboxes ( ford were easy to do ) so it would read slower than your speed. you would still get nicked though.
