You have bought yourself a very good reliable vehicle , ensure vehicle serviceing is upto date. I have the 2.7 td & the 3.0 tdi & i must say i am well pleased
I'm on my 2nd Terrano. The 1st was the 2.7. Now have the 3ltr Tdi which suprisingly gives better mpg. 30 when towing. All in all a very reliable vehicle.

thanks to you two keep you informed how things go.

good 4x4 there cheap and just as good as the landrovers mine runs on veg being the 2.7 means it costs me 1.06 a litre in macro or sometimes supermarkets have it in the 3lt bottles and it works out as 98p a litre and no loss in mpg and carbon nutral win win if u have any problems with it just go to www.nissan4x4ownersclub.com i am a member and a good bunch but def get oils change as the rear axle has a lsd and gets missed or wrong oil put in other than the old maf no problems really that arent cheap to sort out
I had a compass 550/6 and pulled it with the 2.7L and must say it pulled the van much better than the Pathfinder I swopped it for, the caravan club said the van was too light for the Pathfinder, never had any problems with the Terrano
We had a 2.7 and it rattled due to a fault in the transfer box a common prob we were told though it does no harm. Also their prone for the dash board going faulty, sticky petrol gauge and thermastat but.just to cheer you up it was great on fuel and it towed well when i went and got my mates van.
Just traded our 3.0ltr sport as I needed an automatic very sad to see it go as it pulled like a train even if it sounded like a massey ferguson tractor top vehicle

hi twintens, dont mind you asking the terrano cost £4.500, 56,000 on clock full service history, the first week we were playing with it and we had 25mpg,this week drove as i normally would and had 32mpg,so iam pleased with that, there were nice ones on ebay but they were to far away so if i did have any probs it would mean i would have to travel a lot to sort things out,so in the end i found one about 25mile away. i know its early days yet but so far realy pleased.

On our second SWB SE, love it to bits for towing and it has never let us down. Helped me get food to my mum when she was cut off in the snow last December too; so the 4WD does come in handy.
Not the most civilised car on the market but a damn good tug for not much money.
