Hi

You just need the extended neck towball, have a look on the net for Alko tow ball

Tow Ball

You wont have a problem with the bumper protector, just make sure that it does not obscure your number plate.

Also do you know what model of Alko you have, the main thing to have a look at is the friction pads inside where the towball socket is. When I changed the towball on my car to an Alko one, the ball was covered in black paint, so just got some wire wool and rubbed the ball down to bare metal, also with the alko its imperative there is no grease on the ball other wise you will end up goosing the friction pads on the hitch.

AKS1300
AKS3004

Both links above have instruction manual link in .pdf file on the pages and gives you what security/replacement parts you can get.

Dave

Its fairly easy to use,

Coupling up procedure:

Lift red metal handle on side, lift metal handle in centre of hitch, lower onto towball, metal handle in middle of hitch will snap down and should show green markings on the half moon infront of handle and on little button that pops up, then twist ratchet dial clockwise on opposite side, then press down on red handle on side.

Uncoupling:

Lift red handle on side, twist ratchet dial counter clockwise a turn or so, lift handle in middle of hitch at the same time as raising the jockey wheel.

If no green markings appear on either the half moon disk in front of central handle or on the button that pops up, have it checked out as something is wrong with it.
