Hi, I hope someone here can help me, I'm a bit thick when it comes to figures, but it don't help when I cant find them. In a nut shell I have 2 problems 1) I am trying to find out the model of my Avondale caravan. it only has Avondale written on it, no model name. Not sure if this helps but it has an end bath room with cassette type loo and a seperate shower room. 2) Also I am trying to find out the weight for towing it. I have looked on the towing frame and inside the doorway. The only thing I can find is a little plate above the door that gives me Digits 91AV*517** (left out some digits for security reasons), not sure if this is the VIN number or what. as it starts with 91. I just thought maybe this was the year it was made. also there are figures on the tow hitch But this looks like it is a replacement one so not sure if these figures are relevent to the van as it sys max 1600kg. I thought this is a bit high for a two berth van. But what do I know. Please help. Bill

Single axle or twin axle?

Windows etched with the chassis number?

No names stickers on the side?

A photo would help.

Thanks for the reply, Firstly it's a single axle, no the windows are not etched, no names or stickers on the van at all except for the name Avondale on the front of roof and middle of the back pannel. The only other thing is a plate above the door on the inside, wich i think is the VIN plate as it starts with 91AV then 6 numbers. I have been unable to take photo today but will take one tomorrow and upload it. Thanks again.

I have the manual for 1991/92

33 models listed,   12 are 2 berths.

Avondales are fairly light at that year, The heaviest ones are 1300kg they are twin axles.

1100kg fully laden for the heaviest 2 berth.

Hi, Thanks that does sound a bit more reasuring. I haven't had chance to get photos up loaded today as cam belt went on my (tow) car. As soon as i can (hopefully tomorrow) I will put them on. at least that way if you find it in your manual you can let me know. Thanks again.
