If you have a freelander and it's reliable you can't go wrong with one really.  We had an 02 TD4 from new till a year ago and it towed like a dream for the 4 years we towed with it.

Do be aware though, that once things start going wrong with a Freelander, it kind of escalates (well in our case it did) and in the latter years we spent thousands on repairs/LR technicians/Servicing etc.  So we traded ours in.

OH would only ever have another LR if it was in warranty only.

Then there is the best car of all, the Skoda scout 4x4 or Octavia 4x4 no buttons to select the 4x4 when needed as it automatically does it without you noticing

We also have the vectra sri 150 and it tows like a dream. Fuel consumption is good both towing and not. We tow our caravan with a weight 1415kg and its a great car. Would defo reccomend going for the 150 over the 120 any day. Its really fun to drive. Had a freelander in the past and would never have one again.
