Hi .. I have an Autocruise Starfire and want to take along my moped - Honda 49cc City Express.  Has anyone got either the hydraulic Easy Lifter or the sideways trailer?  Both are rather expensive (about £6/800) but I do not like the idea of a single moped trailer behind.  Has anyone any experience of taking along their moped?  I would be grateful of any advice.

hi, get a local engineer to fabricate something . very often just a chanel fixed behind the tow bracket is enough . your moped is hardly heavy . i have a clip on off its from sammy millers place at new milton . had it years . try a google . or have a google for a local off road bike club. or ask in a local m,bike shop they will know someone who knows.

Hi Vwalan..Thanks for your reply but apparently my motorhome cannot have a bike rack fitted on to a tow bar at the back. It has to come from extended bars almost half the length of the van because the chassis is a different shape from others. Hence the cost. I will try the m.bike shops though to see if they can come up with anything else. Someone suggested one of the tow along behind types but it appears I cannot do that either. What problems - just to get a pint of milk!!!!!!!!

Why can't you put it in the van? too big? I used to carry mine in the van, its safe and as long as you secure it inside for travelling no probs,and it will not get pinched for stops on road.

Some of those products seem rather iffy to me.

150kg maybe more so far off the rear axle.


Is the chassis designed to take that much weight?
