can anybody tel me what kind of caravan i can buy if i only have a ford fusion 3 to tow it with ?

Looking on the internet the max tow weight is either 750kg or 900kg

750kg - 900kg, One of those cars where an 85% match would be illegal to tow.

And where the diesel models have lower towing limits than the petrol ones.

Parents had a fusion for just under 8 months, They got fed up of the useless gearbox and having to take it back to be repaired. Part ex'd for a Golf diesel and still have that.

Well i have a cousin who owns a Ford Fusion 1.4 HDI and he thinks it is great .some thing you might be able to tow is a Kip caravan 2 berth they are very light ,See them at this place wwwleisurevehicles.co.uk

Is is illegal?

I thought the max towing weight was stipulated by the ability to start on a steep incline? As long as the gross train weight isn't exceded in theory it should still be legal - can anyone else confirm that?

The manufacturers stipulate a max weight for a reason. You don't want to exceed this.

Hi Chris, if it has the semi-auto box it can only tow 400kg I believe. If not you could try a Freedom !
